RADUS® SV-360 VISA Series | Advanced Sheet-Fed System for Schengen VISA Numbering
The Radus SV-360 VISA Series is a modular system designed for the fully automated numbering of self-adhesive visa stickers. Engineered specifically for high-security documents like Schengen visas and similar passport-integrated labels, the SV-360 VISA Series offers a superior alternative to traditional batch processing.
Unlike standard serial numbering performed on multi-sticker sheets, the Radus SV-360 utilizes a process to number finished, individual visa stickers. This approach eliminates the complexities of managing faulty labels within a larger sheet, significantly streamlining the production workflow.
Key Technical Features
• Sheet-Fed Infeed Station: Fully automatic feeder equipped with ultrasonic double-sheet detection. Supports formats from 97.5mm x 111mm up to 250mm x 353mm and allows for continuous loading during operation.
• Automated Pre-Inspection: Integrated camera systems evaluate incoming stickers based on customer-specific criteria. Substandard units are excluded from the numbering process and ejected automatically to maintain quality standards. (optional)
• Versatile Numbering Stations: Configurable with 1 to 5 stations. Features SU2 numbering heads for horizontal and vertical impact numbering using security letterpress inks (oxidative or LED-UV drying).
- Mechanical numbering boxes with automatic sequential switching.
- Optional Computer Random Numbering (CRN).
- Adjustable impression strength to create tactile embossing for enhanced security.
• Digital Talon Numbering: A continuous inkjet (CIJ) system provides digital numbering for visa talons.
• Integrated Vision & Control System: A Windows-based control unit paired with CCD cameras verifies up to four numeric imprints for integrity and legibility. Scanned data is cross-referenced with the database in real-time.
Operational Efficiency & Traceability
The SV-360 VISA Series operates at a consistent throughput of 4,000 stickers per hour. By processing 100% individual stickers, the system avoids the time-consuming renumbering cycles typically required when faulty stickers are discovered within multi-image sheets.
• Automated Reject Management: Incorrectly numbered stickers are automatically diverted to a reject container, and their specific serial numbers are logged for immediate reproduction.
• Post-Production Mode: At the end of a batch, the system triggers a post-production cycle. These reproductions can be easily reintegrated into the finished sequence, ensuring a complete and accurate delivery.
• Data Logging: For comprehensive audit trails and traceability, the entire production history - including any reprints - is automatically recorded in a secure log file.
Result: A precise, secure, and highly flexible solution for private and government security printer.
